Rachel Stahle
Attorney | Founding Member
A natural-born competitor, Rachel Stahle has established a reputation as one of the most respected trial attorneys in the Midwest. She advocates for people who have suffered major injury or wrongful death and has recovered millions of dollars on their behalf.

An In-Depth Approach and Relentless Work Ethic
Rachel’s unique combination of tenacity and kindness help her obtain impressive results for her clients and assure them their concerns are being heard. “I make it a priority to thoroughly discuss each case with my clients to understand both what happened and how to keep it from happening again.” She aggressively fights for those who need a voice, including the young, disabled, and elderly. Rachel’s approach is evident by her being awarded the prestigious Thomas J. Conway Award from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association in 2023. This award recognizes outstanding trial skills coupled with the ability to be a fierce advocate for her client and exhibiting professional decorum in dealing with opposing counsel, all at the same time.
Most recently, Rachel’s skills helped secure a $12,100,000 settlement for a minor who was injured as a result of a campfire explosion while attending a sleepover at her friend’s house in Wichita, Kansas, burning over 70% of her body. She also represented the family of a man killed in a truck crash in Dakota County, Nebraska, and along with her colleagues, reached a $3,500,000 settlement for their clients.
In addition to her work on truck accidents and child injuries, Rachel has a national presence among nursing home lawyers and has litigated cases throughout the Midwest. Among other results, she recently secured a $2,700,000 judgment against a Clay County, Missouri, nursing home in a wrongful death case involving a resident on resident assault. She has been a go-to for investigative journalism pieces exposing the nursing home industry, both in print and on television. Rachel has seen firsthand how nursing homes promise the world and fail to deliver. With baby boomers getting older, for-profit companies have opened nursing homes at lightning speed, but cannot staff them. This has led to needless catastrophic injury and deaths in nursing homes and is why Rachel became a board member of Kansas Advocates for Better Care, a non-profit organization that advocates for quality long term care. Simply put, Rachel wants to make nursing homes safer.
Experience Drives Results
While obtaining her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa, Rachel interned for the Victim Witness Advocate for the Johnson County, Iowa District Attorney’s Office. Helping crime victims in this role was the driving factor for Rachel to focus her career on helping individuals who have been the victims of crime, abuse, and neglect.
Before launching Stahle Law, Rachel was a partner at one of the premier trial firms in the region, Dollar, Burns, Becker & Hershewe, L.C. There, Rachel established herself as a top nursing home lawyer in the Midwest. She also frequently litigated cases involving truck crashes, burn injuries, child injuries, and medical malpractice, resulting in tens of millions of dollars of recoveries for her clients.
Rachel began her legal career at Franke Schultz & Mullen, P.C., where she defended products liability, premises liability, and sexual assault cases against hotels, churches, group homes, and medical providers. She became the youngest lawyer in firm history to be elevated to partner at the time. This experience allows Rachel to accurately evaluate each case while also anticipating the opposing side’s next move, both of which are crucial to her success. Quite frankly, Rachel has learned under the best lawyers in the region and takes this invaluable experience into each and every case.
Rachel was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa, and credits her Iowa background to her relentless work ethic and friendly nature. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys working out, hiking, traveling, reading, and time with her husband, two active kids, and two dogs.
